Skateboarding Historian | Photo Archives LIMITED EDITION PRINTS Over the next several years I will selecting images from my photo archive and offering each one in a limited edition. The first series begins with skateboarding and will be followed by punk and new wave. Aside from my books, this is the first time that many of these images have ever been printed. Each image, from start to finish, was exclusively hands-on produced by me. In addition to shooting the images, I processed the original film, scanned the negs or slides, then made the prints. I even signed and numbered them myself, if you can believe that. The first print to be offered is of Alan Gelfand, the skateboarder who invented the Ollie in 1977. This image is most appropriate since 2007 marks the 30th anniversary of what has become currently one of the most important skateboard tricks. What's also special about this image is that it was taken at Alan's ramp in Hollywood, Florida. The Hollywood Ramp was the first half-pipe style vert ramp to use the flatbottom design and its appearance in Skateboarder magazine in 1979 influenced countless ramps all over the world to use flat bottom. Alan has kindly made these prints even more special by signing each one.
First Series Print Each archival fine arts print and certificate is numbered and signed by photographer Craig B. Snyder and autographed by Alan "Ollie" Gelfand. Edition Prices Shipping Payment |
